Terms of Service — El-Maestro
Effective date: October 28, 2026 · Last updated: October 28, 2026
Welcome to El-Maestro (https://el-maestro.io). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
El-Maestro provides AI-powered career-preparation tools, including:
- Mock interviews — practice interviews generated from a job posting and/or your résumé, with automated scoring and feedback, in text or voice.
- CV tailoring — tools that adapt your résumé to a specific job posting.
- Job-AutoPilot — job-opening matching based on your settings, application tracking, saved application answers, an application-preparation preview, and an optional email assistant.
Features may change, be added, or be removed as the service evolves.
How applying works. El-Maestro helps you prepare applications; it does not submit them. When you choose to apply for an opening, we show you the posting, your selected CV, and your saved answers, and link you to the employer's own application page. You complete and submit the application on the employer's site. No application is ever submitted in your name by El-Maestro.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Pricing, bundles, and payments
- No subscriptions. Paid plans are one-time purchases for a fixed term (for example, a bundle covering a set number of months). A purchase never auto-renews and never charges you again. When a term ends, paid features simply stop until you choose to buy again; renewing extends from your current term end.
- A bundle may include a pool of full mock interviews, unlimited job search and CV tailoring during the term, and Job-AutoPilot access, as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Additional full interviews beyond a bundle's pool are sold individually. Prices are shown in the app before purchase.
- An interview credit (or one interview from a bundle pool) is used when an interview starts. Starting the same interview again because of an accidental double action does not use a second credit.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Credits and bundle access are tied to your account, are not transferable, and have no cash value.
- Refunds: Unused credits are refundable within 6 months of purchase. Used credits are generally non-refundable, except where a technical failure on our side prevented the service from working as intended — for example, a mock interview that failed to run — in which case we will restore the credit or refund it.
4. Mock interviews and AI-generated content
- Interview questions, follow-up questions, scores, and feedback are generated by AI and by rule-based systems. They are provided for practice and preparation only.
- Scores and feedback are estimates, not guarantees of performance in a real interview, and not a promise of any hiring outcome.
- You are responsible for how you use practice material in real interviews. Some employers restrict the use of AI assistance in their hiring process; it is your responsibility to follow each employer's policies.
- CV tailoring is based only on the résumé and information you provide. The service is designed not to invent qualifications, employers, or metrics; you are responsible for reviewing any tailored CV for accuracy before you use it.
5. Job-AutoPilot, saved answers, and the email assistant
- Job-AutoPilot matches openings from public job boards based on your settings. We do not guarantee that any opening is current, complete, or that you will be considered for it.
- Saved application answers are yours: we store what you provide so you can reuse it, and we never invent answers for you — in particular, we never generate answers to legal attestations, work-authorization questions, or voluntary self-identification (EEO) questions. Anything you copy or enter into an employer's application is submitted by you, and you are responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of everything submitted in your name.
- Application status tracking reflects what you record and, if you enable the email assistant, what it reads in your email. A status shown in El-Maestro is our record of your application, not confirmation from the employer, unless the underlying email or your own report says so.
- The email assistant acts only when you connect your Gmail account, turn it on, and set its rules. Drafts either wait for your approval or are sent automatically only under rules you set. You are responsible for messages it sends under your rules. You can turn it off or disconnect Gmail at any time.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information in your profile, résumé, or any application you submit.
- Use the service to spam employers or submit mass, low-effort applications that misrepresent you.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data, disrupt the service, or reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
7. Your content and intellectual property
- You keep ownership of your résumé, profile, and other content you provide. You grant us a license to process that content solely to operate the service for you.
- The El-Maestro name, software, question banks, and site content are our property and may not be copied or reused without permission.
8. Availability and disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and accurate but do not warrant uninterrupted operation or that job-board data is complete or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, El-Maestro's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including missed job opportunities.
10. Termination and account deletion
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from within the app. Deletion removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy; purchase records are retained in anonymized form for accounting. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Credits are handled per the refund policy above upon termination.
11. Changes to these Terms
We will post changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
